I found out that Monica had her baby today, so I figured I'd post a few favorites from Monica's maternity shoot! Monica is a dear friend of my good friend Nicole, and we did the session just about a week ago, so Monica was really nearly ready to have her little boy!

We were very short on time, but Nicole's house provided a nice setting for the photos and I got some beautiful shots of Monica. I hope I can take some pictures of her little one soon, too!

We started off with Nicole helping out by doing Monica's makeup. She used the brand Bare Minerals for anyone wondering... the makeup looked beautiful!

I got a little artistic and played around with some neat textures on the first couple of photographs below. The textures just lend themselves really nicely to the colors and expressions. I think the first two pictures would look really beautiful printed up on a large canvas!

Monica looked absolutely radiant, don't you think? I really have enjoyed doing these maternity sessions because the mommies-to-be have such a glow, both excited & nervous. It makes me feel really happy to be taking photos and documenting this amazingly important time in their lives!

Adrian and I did a maternity session with Carol and her husband Demien yesterday. Carol is going to give birth in about six weeks, and we are so excited for them (and so was their dog, Zoe, who demanded to be in at least one shot)! Carol's photos came out really lovely. She looks radiant, and she and her husband are so happy for their bundle of joy to arrive!
