Liz & Brandon: Married! - Gasparilla Inn & Resort - Boca Grande, FL

From the first time that Liz and I spoke over the phone, I knew she was going to be a fabulous bride! She and her new husband, Brandon have a great attitude towards life which was really reflected in all of their wedding plans. They are such an adorable couple and it's easy to see how much they love each other.

Their beautiful Destination Wedding was held at the Gasparilla Inn & Club, one of Florida's historic hotels. It was the perfect setting to make Liz & Brandon's wedding dreams come true! Here are some of my favorites from their wedding day:

Liz inspects her bridal makeup at the salon.

Brandon chills out before the ceremony by playing a game of pool with his buddies.

Liz made a stunning bride!

Sharing a moment with Dad before walking down the aisle.

Both parents stand by Liz as they give her away to her new husband.

The ceremony was beautiful and colorful!

A tender moment between Liz & Brandon.

Moving on to some portraits in the setting sun... Instead of lots of formal family shots, Liz really wanted to devote most of her portrait time to private images of her and Brandon as a married couple.

The love between this couple is so apparent, and I'm glad that Liz and Brandon set aside this extra time, so they could always remember how they felt on the most amazing day of their lives.

Sharing a dance together as husband and wife!

Their grand exit, sent off by sparklers! How fun!

Liz, Brandon, and their friends & family ended the night by toasting marshmallows at their post-wedding bonfire!

Congratulations, Liz & Brandon!! I wish you so much happiness in your new life together!

Have Wedding? Will Travel!

Although I am based out of South Florida, I am happy to travel around the United States to photograph weddings. I have been traveling since I was a little girl and I love to visit different places and meet new people. In the past two years, I have had the pleasure of working in both Arizona and Georgia as well as my home state of Florida, and I look forward to shooting in another state in 2008!

My destination wedding coverage begins with my normal 10 hour package. Your only additional cost aside from your photography package is a hotel stay, a rental car if needed, and either an airline ticket or cost per mileage driven if the wedding is within reasonable driving distance of Ft. Lauderdale.

I would love to photograph weddings in the following cities, in case anyone is considering it (stars for places I would REALLY love to shoot in!):

St. Augustine, FL
Gainesville, FL
Savannah, GA
Asheville, NC *
New Orleans, LA
Austin, TX
Washington, DC
New York, NY *
Boston, MA
Portland, OR
Seattle, WA
San Francisco, CA *
Sedona, AZ *
Chicago, IL

I will even go to Canada (I do have a passport!) and would love to shoot in Montreal, Vancouver, or Victoria.

Traveling with photography gear is easier than you think, as I've learned from my friend Steven "Fish" Frischling, who frequently travels between New York, San Francisco, Hong Kong, and London. He has a blog called "Flying with Fish" which is geared towards traveling photographers. Whether you are a photographer or not, it is worth a read, anyway, as he is probably the most well-informed traveler I have ever known in my life (and believe me, as the daughter of a travel consultant, I know a lot of travelers!).

Andrea & Scott: Married!

Wow, it sure has been way, way too long since my last post! However, I do have LOTS of images forthcoming for you as we have been quite busy in the past month or so.

After Adrian and I did Helen & Zheng's engagement shoot on South Beach, we packed up the car and headed up to Georgia for Andrea & Scott's wedding at Wolf Mountain Vineyards in Dahlonega. Andrea is a friend of mine from high school and college, and I was so excited when she told me that her wedding would be at a winery. If you know anything about me and Adrian, you know we love wine!

Here are some of my favorite photos from the day. So many! Andrea looked beautiful and the location was gorgeous... I couldn't narrow the list down!

The Vineyard looked sooo beautiful with the leaves changing colors!

Doesn't Andrea look so regal in this photo?

Getting dressed...

Andrea & her maid of honor, Caitlin, have matching <3 tattoos. So cute! I <3 their tattoos!

The groomsmen seemed to be having fun while they were getting dressed!

Scott takes one last look in the mirror before going downstairs.

Andrea was breathtaking!

Scott & his friends seemed to be having a good time!

We were grateful for an opportunity to shoot in the vineyards before the ceremony started. This was one of my favorite shots. In fact, we have a 20x30 inch print of it hanging in our conference room! So lovely!

A funny moment during the ceremony....

Happily married!

We were treated to a gorgeous sunset while we took the formals after the ceremony.

Andrea picked out beautiful flowers, didn't she? This is her maid of honor, Caitlin.

First Dance!

Maid of Honor toasting to the Bride & Groom...

Caitlin & Katherine (another bridesmaid) danced their hearts out!

I promised Katherine that she'd get a sweet picture of her and her boyfriend. Aren't they cute?

Finally, the ring shot. We looked all over for an appropriately artistic way to photograph the rings, and then Adrian and I spotted an enormous wine glass filled with pulled corks from the Vineyard. We borrowed a few, and the shot ended up being exactly what we'd wanted. How beautiful is that?

Andrea and Scott, thank you so much for letting Adrian and I be a part of your special day! We both had such a wonderful time and coming up to Georgia was so much fun for us! Andrea, I'm glad we have stayed friends, and I wish you lots and lots of happiness in your future together!
