Natalie & Joe: Wedding Preview! - Chicago Wedding Photographer

Earlier this month, Adrian and I had the pleasure of photographing Natalie & Joe's beautiful wedding celebration! Natalie & Joe found us from all the way up in the Chicago area - Bourbonnais, Illinois, a darling little town about an hour south of the city - and we were too excited to fly up to photograph their special day! There are so many beautiful images to look through, still, but here are a few of our favorites!

Natalie and Joe, we hope that you enjoy your preview photos and can't wait to share the rest with you! Hope your honeymoon was amazing too - I look forward to hearing all about it. :)

Amy & Thomas: Engaged! - Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne - Miami, FL Engagement Session

Amy and Thomas are such an amazingly passionate couple!! I love shooting engagement sessions like this where the couple is totally into each other and is not afraid to show it. It not only makes it more fun for me overall, it also is amazing to photograph because I really feel like I'm capturing completely pure emotions which they will be able to look back on when they're old and grey, and remember how they were full of life and love and happiness - and smile. :)

Here are some of my favorite shots from our engagement session with them:

Personal work: Eastern Tennessee Vacation

I realized the other day that I hadn't posted any images from when my family went to Eastern Tennessee back in April. I took a bunch of photos but here are a few random personal images that I liked. It's always fun to take photos without people in them every once in a while to get a different perspective on things.

This last image is of a horse and a donkey playing together down the street from my Mother in Law's house! It was so much fun to watch them play - they were such great friends.

I look forward to our next trip to Tennessee. If you're planning a wedding in the Tri-City or Eastern Tennessee area or anywhere nearby that area, please consider giving me a call to chat about your wedding photography at 954-753-3933.

Amy & Thomas: Wedding Preview! - Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne

After meeting Amy and Thomas just two days before their wedding for their engagement session, I knew that we were going to have a blast photographing their special day! They are such a fun couple and the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne is a beautiful setting for an intimate family wedding. Here are a couple of our favorite shots from the day:

They started the morning with a First Look on the beautiful staircase. Amy looked absolutely gorgeous in her beautiful beaded dress, and Thomas was very handsome in his Marine uniform (he's a recent graduate of the Naval Academy)!

Amy & Thomas had the unique & personal experience of being married by Thomas' dad!

Portraits in the beautiful Ritz Carlton Spa.

An emotional first dance.

A few more portraits before the afternoon came to a close. I love this shot - it shows off Amy & Thomas' fun personalities - he can definitely make her laugh!

Hope you two are having a fantastic time on your honeymoon cruise! I look forward to sharing more images with you some time soon! Enjoy the previews! :-)

Amy & Thomas' Engagement Preview - Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne

We're off to shoot Amy & Thomas' wedding at the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne this morning. Check out an awesome preview from their engagement session the other day!

Congratulations, you two! More images coming soon!

Baby Joey has arrived!! - South Florida Newborn Photography

I photographed Liz & Joey's maternity session a couple of weeks ago, and now Baby Joey is here! At only five days old, he was an absolute pleasure to photograph. Thanks to Liz's mom (the new grandma) for helping out with arranging some of the props!

Liz & Joey, congratulations on your new bundle of joy! He is precious! It is an honor to me to have photographed all of these milestones in your life together!

Rumira & Cian: Wedding Preview! - Intimate Wedding in Miami, FL

Rumira & Cian had a beautiful backyard intimate wedding, surrounded by their closest 30 or so friends and family. Since Cian is a firefighter, they had a vintage City of Miami fire truck come for their portraits, which I loved!!

Here are some favorites from their day. More will come soon!

Melissa & Mike: Wedding & Trash the Dress Preview! - Ritz Carlton Palm Beach

Melissa and I have been good friends since the first day of 6th Grade so I was absolutely thrilled when she asked me and Adrian to be her wedding photographers! Adrian and I (plus our assistant shooter for the day, Justin) took literally thousands of images between all three of us, so it will take a while to narrow it down to the very best keepers (since there will be a lot - how can you go wrong with a couple this gorgeous?) but here are a few favorites from Melissa & Mike's wedding day.

Melissa & Mike decided to have a "First Look" so that they could enjoy some of their cocktail hour. I love when couples opt for the First Look because it lets us get more great lifestyle portraits in beautiful light!

Melissa looks SO happy here... I know she is meant to be with Mike forever because I don't think I've ever seen this look on her face in all the 16 years that I've known her!

Here's one from their beautiful ceremony - and that look on Melissa's face again! I love it! It makes me so happy to see such a good friend filled with this kind of joy. Melissa & Mike's ceremony was so lighthearted, happy, and full of love.

The last wedding preview - Melissa & Mike's first dance was a carefully choreographed and much-practiced tango! They performed an amazing dance for their first dance as husband and wife, and don't you just love that Melissa has a rose between her teeth?

The following day we did a Trash the Dress/Bridal shoot. While the waves were pretty bad, we still managed to get some fun images in the water - thankfully I remembered to take my iPhone out of my pocket before going waist-deep... that would have been a nightmare, lol. Here's one of my favorites:

And this one was Mike's idea - you can see his fun personality coming out for sure in this image!

Melissa & Mike, I hope that you enjoy your previews! Once I finish wading through and editing the gigantor folder of images from your wedding, I will get the rest of your blog entry + slideshow up. :) I hope you had an amazing time in the Caribbean on your honeymoon!

Austin & Megan: Married! - The Ocean Club - Key Biscayne, FL

Austin has been a friend of mine for quite a few years now, since we were both in college at the University of Florida! When he started dating Megan, I knew that they would someday get married, as they were obviously perfect for each other. :)

This couple really loves photography so I was very excited when they asked me to be their wedding photographer for their special "Pi Day" wedding on March 14th (aka 3.14). I knew that their wedding would be filled with many personal and unique details. They both have a love for all things vintage, and I think that really came out with their wedding and their wedding photographs.

Here's a slideshow from their special day:

And now on to some of my favorite images... and there sure are a TON!

Here is the lovely Megan getting ready. I love how you can see her eyes behind the mirror in this image. It reminds me of an old Hollywood photo.

The bride's side was running a bit late, so the groom's side decided to check the time together.

But the bridesmaids were busy helping the bride get ready (and posing for a photo of course)!

The bouquets looked beautiful in the sunlight.

It was soon time for Megan's dad to walk her down the aisle and for the ceremony to begin!

Married at last!

The bridal party was lovely and so much fun to work with.

Austin's dad had the hookup for some amazing music and hired an incredible jazz/swing band to come and play at the wedding. Not a single "modern" song was played all evening. The songs really took you back and set the vintage mod that Austin & Megan wanted to portray for their special night! It was just spectacular!

Austin & Megan's beautiful first dance was followed by dances with their parents.

Soon it was time for dinner...check out the gorgeous table settings! The couple sat at table number 3.14. How fun!

We ducked out for a few minutes to grab some portraits....By some... I mean, a lot! Props to Austin & Megan for making portrait-time an important part of their evening! They have lots of gorgeous images to remember their night by!

Then it was time for cake!

The last dance of the evening....

Check out their rings - can you see the engraving on the inside? It is the number for Pi!

Before we left, we couldn't help but take a couple more portraits of the beautiful bride & handsome groom!

Austin & Megan, I'm so glad we could be there to celebrate with you on your wedding day! You both looked amazing and everything was just YOU to a tee. Your wedding has been one of the most beautiful and unique weddings that we have had the pleasure of photographing and we were so happy to be chosen to capture it. Lots of love & happiness to you both forever & ever!
