... and happy 4th wedding anniversary to me and Adrian!

I hope everyone has a happy and healthy holiday weekend!

Many of our clients know already, but we wanted to announce it on the blog now that we know what we're having! Our little baby boy is due at the end of November!!!

I am feeling great, and will continue booking and shooting weddings through October. My husband Adrian, who is also a primary photographer within the company, will be shooting weddings with one of our talented Associate Photographers after I go on maternity leave, which will through January.

Have you ever taken the time to explore your own backyard? Between the long summer days and my efforts to take one photo each day, I've been looking in places I wouldn't normally look to find interesting things to photograph.

Here are two recent favorites from exploring my backyard.

My friends Jaime and Gary's little girl, Riley, is two this year! As a gift to them, I took some adorable photos of Riley when they came down to South Florida to visit Jaime's family. Here are some of my favorite photos the afternoon we spent together.

Yesterday, Adrian and I did a post-wedding photo shoot with Ashley and Ben, who got married in April. I'm still working on their photos (which you'll see after their photo presentation session), but wanted to share this beautiful orchid from the Orchid Garden at Vizcaya in Miami. They have so many different types of orchids there, more than I ever knew existed. If you ever get the chance to visit Vizcaya, it is definitely worth a look!

I definitely have the cutest dog! I have been taking so many photos of Maya lately... if anyone is interested in setting up a pet session, I would love to talk to you. There's a couple more days left in June, which means that the monthly special is still in effect (one free 8x10 with the payment of a portrait session).

Amanda was a student of mine back when I used to teach middle school. I was pleased to hear that she was pursuing her dream of modeling and acting, and when she needed some new material for her portfolio, we set up a shoot! It was great to hang out with her and her mom, Janette. I had a great time and we created some amazing images!!
